Naxos has some of the very best beaches in Greece. There are over 40 Kilometres of beaches to choose from, and most of them are sandy. There are popular and busy beaches with facilities as well as quiet and remote beaches. The south west of Naxos is almost one beach, interrupted by a few peninsulas.

Agios Prokopios is home for Liana Hotel and it is located 3.5 kilometres away from Naxos Town. It claims to be the best beach in Naxos Island. It is a nice resort with over 1.5 kilometres beach with fine sand and offers all kind of entertainment and accommodation.

Agia Anna Beach is 800 metres further south from Liana Hotel nty of Naxos Island visitors every year. Once a fishing village, today is a popular resort with golden sand and plenty of beach restauranrs, taverns and a couple of clubs.

Plaka is further south and it is the longest beach in Naxos Island. It is lovely beach with fine white sand. It offers a wide choice of restaurants and clubs.

Mikri Vigla Beach NaxosMikri Vigla has fine and white soft sand. The northern part of Mikri Vigla is called Parthena and the southern is called Sahara. North and south parts are divided by a peninsula where rock formations created some coves. Mikri Vigla cannot be accessed by the coastal road, but by the main inland road to south west Naxos.

Kastraki is further south from Mikri Vigla. It is quiet even in high season and it is very long and wide with fine.

In Alyko (close to Pyrgaki) there is a quiet long beach with fine and soft sand plus sandy and rocky coves. The sandy part of Alyko is well located from the north winds.
